SCBWI NYC: Our first vlog! In which we show off goodies.

If a picture's worth a thousand words, this vlog ... is worth at least a year in therapy. We recorded this at the end of a very long and awesome Saturday of SCBWI conference-going in NYC, and we're so excited that you guys can finally see what we look and sound like all together!

(And yes, we now realize that we were all wearing scarves and boots. No, it wasn't planned.)

  7. What LiLa said. Except the bit about wishing I could be there. 'Cause, y'know, it's the Society of Children's Book people. And, uh, the only children who will ever read my stuff are the ones who'll grow up to be something tragically bizarre, like a carnie, or an IRS agent, or a writer, or something. Y'know.

    Actually, I do wish I was in NYC, 'cause they have great restaurants there, and I'm totally craving a good martini right now. But unless they're serving good martinis at the conference, I should probably just stay home.

    Where was I going with this anyway? I dunno. Something along the lines of congrats on the conference win. And that I agree with Lila. Except about the being there thing....

    Well I'm still jealous...you guys got to be in my home town havin' gal time and being all young adult-y.
